URIAN!!!last night, before my daily dose of BITUING WALANG NINGNING (woaah... i can see a lot of raised eyebrows.. wait till i make a post about it...) , i was able to get a glimpse of the recorded tv special of the Gawad Urian Awards Night (err.. not a really a mere glimpse... i was glued for some time on the television... the last thing i know, lavinia is already driving dorina away... that bitch!!!)
i love watching awards shows... although awards shows no longer count in our present society, about the philippine film industry being in its dire strait and all that blahs.. Gawad Urian is really something different of all the awards shows... not perfectly different... but at least... uhmm different (DIFFERENT today is really something to look forward to..)
Urian's choice of films are really "THE" films to watch for... not just because most of the films that got the critics' nods are digital (go friends!!! ahahah..) but because maybe in every category, you'll really get to agree that the nominee deserves to be called a nominee.. wehehe...
Urian for 2 years already, i think, had recognized films that the MMFF, GOLDEN SCREEN and the FAP failed to give recognition... of course, most of the films that got nominated and actually got the coveted award are my favorite titles... wehehehe...

Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros (best film for UFO Films, best screenplay for Miss Michiko and other bests... XD )

Sa Aking Pagkakagising mula sa Kamulatan (best supporting actor for ketchup eusebio)

Ang Daan Patungong Kalimugtong (best director for mes de guzman )

La Visa Loca (best actor for robin padilla... i like carlo aquino to win... *sigh)

. Nasaan Ka mAn... (charlie peralta, cholo laurel, claudine barretto, gloria diaz, hilda koronel and jericho rosales all deserve exaltation... scre you diether!!! you... *tututut...)

Ilusyon ( for jaycee parker's "modelo" acting and yul servo's nothingness.. ehehe)
7.
Big Time (for most of the technical aspects... i haven't watched it e...)
and others...
although there are still these oh so fake canned applause, the awards show is really organized and not lengthy... maybe because mostly GMA people did their things there...
it was really organized and not so "kasulasulasok" unlike others...
masaya kasi ka-level ng mga mainstream yung mga maliit ngunit mahahalagang pelikulang higit na karapat-dapat tumanggap ng pagkilanlan...
did i just ??? ... whatever...
